    1. Ranpo Kitan:
From the name itself "Ranpo", this anime is released to commemorate the late Ranpo Edogawa who is one of the famous authors of japan's mystery fiction. This features, some of his interesting works like Panorama Island, the Human Chair, and the Fiend with 20 faces. If you are looking for a unique/bizarre anime, then this is a must watch.

    1. Bungou Stray Dogs:
Written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa.
    What's interesting about this anime?
    1. The characters are named after famous Japanese and Western authors. There's Osamu Dazai, Edogawa Ranpo, Atsushi Nakajima, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Mark Twain and etc.
    2. The skills of the characters are also from the books of the authors. (Example: Osamu Dazai: No longer human)
    3. The animation is very commendable (especially the action scenes)
    4. You'll never get bored of the story, each episode is entertaining. It's a well thought of anime.
    5. The protagonist of the 1st season is not the same as the 2nd season's protagonist.

  5. Galaxy Express 999 or the sequel, Adieu Galaxy Express 999. Both have been dubbed in English, but finding a subtitled version is difficult.
